Grab a sheet of paper, open a new doc on your computer or create a fresh note on your phone.

Ready?

Now, quickly list the 5 things that are most important to you in your life.

Got them?

This list reflects the top priorities in your life.

Next write down what you did yesterday.

What did you spend your time doing?

Who did you spend it with?

Where was your mental energy invested?

Now compare what you just wrote with your priority list and ask yourself if yesterday was spent on those 5 most important things in your life.

If your answer is yes, you’re living your priorities and probably feel generally balanced and satisfied with your life.
If your answer is no, you may feel out of balance and some level of dissatisfaction with your life.
If your answer was no, you can use this exercise to bring your attention back to what’s important to you. Start by taking a step back to explore why and how your daily life isn’t reflecting the things that matter most to you.. The results of this exploration can become your guide to making necessary adjustments toward living a life that’s more aligned with your priorities.
